Your files never leave your device
Good recordings
- Keep the microphone 10–20 cm from your mouth and the level meter mostly in the green.
- Turn on noise suppression for speech in a noisy room; turn it off for music.
- Use pause between parts instead of starting several recordings.
Choosing a format
- MP3: small and plays everywhere — best for sharing and voice messages.
- WAV: uncompressed, best quality for editing in audio software.
- WebM / Ogg (original): what the browser recorded, smallest and fastest to save.
Microphones
Any microphone your device sees can be used: built-in, headset, USB or Bluetooth. The list shows their names once you allow microphone access.
