What you can do

Precise and simple

Play the file and click "Use current position" to mark the start and end, or type times like 0:45 or 45.5 (seconds). Check the result with "Play selection" before saving. Without fades, the audio is copied without re-encoding, so quality stays exactly the same.

Fade in and out

Enable fades for a smooth start and ending, perfect for ringtones and music clips. The clip is then re-encoded at high quality in the same format when possible.

Private and free

Audio is processed in your browser with the media engine (downloaded once, about 32 MB). Nothing is uploaded and there are no watermarks or limits.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a ringtone?

Select the song, mark a 20–30 second part, enable fades and save. iPhone ringtones need the M4R format, which you can set by renaming an M4A file.

Does trimming reduce quality?

No, unless fades are enabled; then the clip is re-encoded at high quality.

How do I enter times?

Use seconds (45.5) or minutes:seconds (0:45.5), or mark them while playing.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Trimming happens in your browser.

Which formats can I trim?

MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, OPUS, FLAC and more.

Is it free?

Yes, with no sign-up and no limits.
