When to trim a video
- Cut the important moment from a long recording.

Set the cut precisely
Play the video and click "Use current position" to mark the start and the end, or type times such as 1:05 or 75.5 (seconds). Click "Play selection" to check the result before saving.
Fast or precise?
- Fast: copies the original video without re-encoding, so it takes seconds and keeps full quality. The cut may start slightly earlier, at the nearest keyframe.
- Precise: re-encodes the clip to MP4 so it starts exactly at the chosen time. It takes longer.
Private and free
The video is processed in your browser with the media engine, downloaded once (about 32 MB). Nothing is uploaded and no watermark is added.
Frequently asked questions
Does trimming reduce quality?
Not in Fast mode, which copies the original. Precise mode re-encodes at high quality.
Why does my clip start a bit early in Fast mode?
Videos can only be cut without re-encoding at keyframes. Use Precise mode for an exact start.
How do I enter times?
Use seconds (75.5) or minutes:seconds (1:15.5), or mark them while playing.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Trimming happens in your browser.
Which formats can I trim?
MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV and most common formats.
Is there a watermark?
No. There is no watermark and no sign-up.
