Tips for a sharp icon
Use a square image of at least 512 × 512 pixels, or an SVG. Simple shapes and one or two bold letters stay readable at 16 pixels; fine text does not. Add some padding if your logo touches the edges.
How to install it
Upload all the files to the main folder of your website, then paste the code from favicon-html.txt into the head section of your pages. Kingdom of Files creates the files on your device.

What image should I use?
A square PNG or SVG logo of at least 512 × 512 pixels works best.
Is the transparent background kept?
Yes, except for the Apple icon, which gets your background color or white because iOS doesn't show transparency.
Does the ICO file work in all browsers?
Yes. It contains 16, 32 and 48 pixel images and works in all current browsers.
Where do I put the files?
In the main (root) folder of your website, next to your home page.
Is my logo uploaded?
