Split Files into Batches
Too many files for one email or upload? Choose them and split them into parts that stay under a size limit, such as 25 MB, or into groups of a fixed number of files.
- Choose the folder or files
- Set the maximum size or number per batch
- Download each batch as a ZIP
Your files never leave your device
Made for email and upload limits
Many email services accept about 20–25 MB per message, and many web forms limit uploads too. Set the limit and every batch stays under it, so you can send the files in several messages without guessing.
By size or by number
- By size: files are added to a batch until the next one would go over the limit.
- By number: every batch gets the same number of files, for example 50 photos.
- Sort by name, size or date before splitting.
- A single file bigger than the limit gets a batch of its own and a warning.
ZIP sizes you can trust
The batch ZIPs store the files without recompressing them, so a ZIP is about as large as its files and the size shown is accurate. You can also download all batches as subfolders in one ZIP or, in Chrome and Edge, save them straight into a folder.
Frequently asked questions
What limit should I use for email?
25 MB works for most providers; use 20 MB to be safe. Attachments get bigger when sent, so a little margin helps.
Does a batch ZIP get smaller than the files?
Usually not much: photos, videos and PDFs are already compressed. The tool stores files as they are, so the ZIP size is predictable.
What if one file is bigger than the limit?
It gets its own batch and a warning, because one file cannot be split by this tool.
Can I keep the folder structure?
Yes. Turn on “Keep subfolders inside each batch”.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The batches are made in your browser on your device.
How do I download all batches?
Use the button on each batch, or download all of them at once as folders in one ZIP.
