Frequently asked questions
What is PDF metadata?
Hidden information stored in the file: title, author, subject, keywords, the program that created it and the creation and modification dates.
Why does the title matter?
Browsers and PDF readers show the title in the tab or window, and search engines may use it. A clear title makes your document look professional.
What does "Remove all" do?
It deletes every property, including author and dates, so the file reveals as little as possible about its origin.
Does it change the content of the pages?
No. Only the file properties change; pages, text and quality stay exactly the same.
Why was the XMP metadata removed?
Many PDFs keep a second copy of the properties in XMP format. It is removed so the new values are shown everywhere.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser and the PDF never leaves your device.
