Excel to vCard (VCF)
Open a spreadsheet of contacts, check which column is the name, phone or e-mail, and download a .vcf file you can import into any phone or e-mail app in one step.
- Open your Excel or CSV contact list
- Check the column for each field
- Download the VCF and import it
Your files never leave your device
Import contacts in seconds
Typing contacts one by one into a phone takes forever. Here the whole list becomes a single .vcf file: open it on Android or iPhone, or import it in Google Contacts or Outlook, and every person appears with name, phones and e-mail.
Columns matched for you
- Header names are recognized in many languages (Name, Phone, Mobile, E-mail, Company, Address…).
- Use one full-name column, or first name and last name separately.
- Two phone columns (mobile and work), e-mail, company, job title, address, website and note.
- Several e-mails in one cell separated by commas or semicolons are kept.
Works with every device
The cards use vCard 3.0 with UTF-8, read correctly by Android, iOS, macOS, Gmail and Outlook, including names in Arabic, Chinese or Cyrillic. Choose one file with all contacts, or a ZIP with one card per person.
Frequently asked questions
Is my contact list uploaded?
No. The conversion happens in your browser and the list never leaves your device.
How do I import the VCF on an iPhone?
Send the file to yourself or save it to Files, open it and tap “Add all contacts”. Or import it at icloud.com in Contacts.
How do I import it into Google Contacts or Android?
In Google Contacts choose Import and select the .vcf file; on Android you can also open the file from the Files app.
Should phone numbers include the country code?
It is best, for example +44 20 7946 0958. Our Excel Data Cleanup tool can format a whole column to +E.164 first.
Which vCard version is used?
vCard 3.0, the version supported by all major phones and e-mail services.
Can I convert vCards back to Excel?
Yes, with our vCard to Excel tool.
