PDF to Word
Turn a PDF into a Word document you can edit. Text is rebuilt into paragraphs with headings, lists and tables, pictures are kept, and scanned pages can be read with OCR — all on your device.
- Choose a PDF
- Pick pages and options
- Download the DOCX
Your files never leave your device
What is converted
- Text lines are joined into paragraphs; larger text becomes headings; bold and italic are kept.
- Bullet and numbered lines stay as list items.
- Aligned columns become real Word tables; right-to-left text gets the correct direction.
- Pictures are placed where they appear in the page.
Scanned PDFs
- A scan has no text layer. Choose “Insert as picture” to keep the page as an image, or “Recognise text (OCR)” to get editable text.
- OCR downloads the language data once and works best on clear, straight scans.
- For a searchable PDF instead of Word, use OCR PDF.
Limits
A PDF stores positioned text, not Word paragraphs, so complex layouts (multiple columns, text boxes, forms) may need some tidying. Fonts are replaced by Calibri/Arial; sizes are kept.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser.
Does it work with Arabic and other right-to-left languages?
Yes. Right-to-left paragraphs and tables are written with Word's bidi settings.
Why is my document empty?
The PDF is probably a scan without a text layer. Choose OCR or insert the pages as pictures.
Are tables kept?
Yes, when the columns are aligned. They become Word tables you can edit.
Can I convert only some pages?
Yes. Type pages like 1-3, 5.
Is the layout identical?
Close, but not pixel-perfect: the text becomes flowing paragraphs so it is easy to edit.
