When to compare PDFs
- Check what changed in a new version of a contract before signing.
- Review edits in a report, thesis or policy.
- Make sure a final document matches the approved draft.
How the comparison works
The tool extracts the text of both files, finds the lines that differ and then highlights the exact words that were removed or added. Each change shows the page where it appears in each file.
Tips
- Use text-based PDFs, not scans.
- Small changes in spacing or line breaks may appear as changed lines.
- Download the report to share it or keep it with your records.
Frequently asked questions
What does the tool compare?
The text of the two documents. Removed words are shown in red on the left and added words in green on the right, with their page numbers.
Are images and layout compared?
No. Only text is compared. Changes in pictures, colours or positions are not detected.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
No. Scanned pages are images without text, so there is nothing to compare.
Can I save the result?
Yes. Download the comparison as an HTML report that opens in any browser and can be printed.
Does it work with Arabic documents?
Yes. Text in Arabic and every other language is compared word by word.
Are my documents uploaded?
No. Both files are processed in your browser and never leave your device.
