Everything a list usually needs

Phone numbers in one format

Choose the phone column and your default country code. Numbers such as 0612 345 678, 00 44 20 7946 0958 or (020) 7946-0958 become +447946… in E.164, the format phones, CRMs and messaging tools expect. Values that cannot be a phone number are left as they are and counted.

Garbled characters and old encodings

Text like “Café” or “العربية” appears when UTF-8 was read with the wrong encoding; the repair option turns it back into “Café” and “العربية”. For CSV files saved in an old encoding (Windows-1256, Windows-1251, Shift_JIS…), pick the encoding and the file is read correctly.

Frequently asked questions

Is my file uploaded?

No. The cleaning is done in your browser and the file never leaves your device.

Is the original file changed?

No. You download a new, cleaned copy.

How are duplicates detected?

Either the whole row must be the same, or only the column you choose. Comparison ignores capital letters and surrounding spaces; the first row is kept.

Which phone format do I get?

E.164: a plus sign, the country code and the number without spaces, for example +442079460958.

What does “fix garbled text” change?

Only text that is clearly UTF-8 misread as Windows-1252/Latin-1. Normal text is never touched.

Which files can I open?

XLSX, XLS, XLSM, XLSB, ODS and CSV. CSV files are saved as CSV, the others as XLSX.
