Three tools in one
- Names: draw one or several winners from a list, without repeats. Optionally remove winners from the list for the next round.
- Numbers: random numbers between a minimum and a maximum, unique or not, sorted or in draw order.
- Teams: split a list into a number of teams, or into teams of a given size, as evenly as possible.
Is it fair?
Every draw uses the cryptographic random generator of your device (Web Crypto) without bias, so every name and number has exactly the same chance. Nobody, including us, can influence or see the result.
Ideas
- Giveaways and competitions on social media.
- Choosing who presents first in class or in a meeting.
- Raffles, lucky draws and Secret Santa.
- Random sample selection for surveys or quality checks.
Frequently asked questions
Can the same name win twice?
No. Winners in one draw are always different. Duplicates in the list are removed unless you untick that option.
How random is it?
It uses the Web Crypto generator, the same source used for encryption keys, with no modulo bias.
Can I draw several rounds?
Yes. Tick “Remove winners from the list” and each round draws only from the names that are left.
How large can the list be?
Thousands of names work instantly.
Are my names saved or sent?
No. The list stays on this page and disappears when you close it.
Can I show the result on a big screen?
Yes. Single winners are shown in large text, which works well on a projector.
