Three ways to pick frames
- Every N seconds: for example one image per second for a storyboard.
- A number of frames: spread evenly over the whole video, ideal for thumbnails.
- Current frame: pause the video at the exact moment and capture it.
Format and size
- JPG is small and best for photos; PNG keeps every pixel; WEBP is small with good quality.
- Choose a smaller width for previews or keep the original resolution for prints.
- File names include the time position, so the order is easy to follow.
Good to know
Frames are taken with your browser’s own video decoder, so it starts instantly and nothing is uploaded. If a video does not play in the browser (some AVI or MKV files), convert it to MP4 first.
